This production will be THEATRE director Krikor Satamian's and MUSIC director Vatsche Barsoumian's 3rd collaboration.

The great Armenian composer, Dikran Tchouhadjian labeled Zemire an "opera semiseria" (semi-serious opera: containing elements of comedy and pathos in a pastoral setting)

It was first performed in 1891.
